Having a portrait painted is trendy and a special treat when given, or received, as a present. A common misunderstanding about portrait paintings is that it’s expensive and there’s a long waiting time involved until the painting is done. Sure, when done in oil or acrylic paint, it can be quite a labour intensive affair, but there are other methods to do very nice portraits and keep the price acceptable at the same time. I’m available as a portrait painter for commissions and I create lovely paintings in acrylic and watercolor paint. Besides these classic methods, I also paint portraits digitally which is a very affordable way to have your photo turned into a beautiful fine art print.

For my paintings, I use photos as a reference and those don’t have to be of high quality at all. Most mobile phones these days have a very decent built-in camera and the photos taken with those are suiteable in most cases. If you would like to have a portrait painted but you’re not certain if your reference photo is good enough, feel free to contact me and I’ll have a look at it.

Besides portraits of people, animals are such a nice subject with a very high decorative paintings. And don’t forget the emotional value. My portrait paintings are available on different materials such as cotton canvas and museum quality paper and also on totally renewable materials such as bamboo and agave paper. Using these materials, combined with the newest printing technologies, I can keep the impact on the environment as low as possible since there is no wastage. When using acrylic paints, I also exclusively use materials that are very environment friendly to keep the impact as low as possible. For me as a portrait painter, the most important part is to satisfy my clients in every possible way.
